SSH Port Forward 'Restricted' Ports

Is there a way to forward restricted ports on a mac? I need to forward ports 443 and 902, to a target host. Thanks

Alex

Hi Alex,

No, any access to ports 1024 and below on Mac OS X are restricted unless you are a daemon or running as root.

I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database to allow privileged ports (<1024) to be used for port forwarding. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #12118" in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.
