Error found when run RunCommandsOnMultipleHostsAndLogResults.vbs script

Hi All,

I face this error when run script to connect multiple host ( Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment "crt.Session.ConnectInTab" ). Based research, this argument can has blank value, can please guide me where goes wrong?

Thanks so much in advance.

Code:
Function Connect(strConnectInfo)
    bWaitForAuthToCompleteBeforeReturning = False
    bLetCallerDetectAndHandleConnectionErrors = True
    Set g_objNewTab = crt.Session.ConnectInTab( _
        strConnectString, _
        bWaitForAuthToCompleteBeforeReturning, _
        bLetCallerDetectAndHandleConnectionErrors)

Only versions of SecureCRT 6.6 and newer have a ConnectInTab() method that takes 3 arguments.

What version of SecureCRT are you running?

What troubleshooting steps have you already taken?

How far in to the hosts file are you when this problem occurs?

Have you tried putting in a MsgBox("<" & strConnectInfo & ">") statement on a new line inserted immediately above the bWaitForAuthToCompleteBeforeReturning = False statement? If not, why don't you do that and see what clues it provides you as to why the argument might be invalid.

Code:
Function Connect(strConnectInfo)
    MsgBox("<" & strConnectInfo & ">")
    bWaitForAuthToCompleteBeforeReturning = False
    bLetCallerDetectAndHandleConnectionErrors = True
    Set g_objNewTab = crt.Session.ConnectInTab( _
        strConnectString, _
        bWaitForAuthToCompleteBeforeReturning, _
        bLetCallerDetectAndHandleConnectionErrors)

Error found when run RunCommandsOnMultipleHostsAndLogResults.vbs script

Hi jdev,

Thanks for replying.

The version I using is Version 6.1.3 (build 423). I still new to scripting. So far I modify the code yet fail to resolve.

Can know is there a script for Version 6.1.3 (build 423) to run same function?

Thanks in advance
yui

No. The functionality doesn't exist in prior versions. SecureCRT 6.1.x hasn't been in active development since Feb, 2009. It's pretty cool that such an old version of SecureCRT is still working for you! That being said, it may be time to consider purchasing an upgrade to the current version.
