Upgrading on SuSe

My Fedora box's drive died ... and decided to install SuSe 9.1.

I followed the FAQ on the page (very helpful), to get VSHELL running successfully.

Now, if I upgrade (to the latest release) - do I have to make all those link fixes again? I'd image that I would, but I figure that I'd ask first.

I added all that stuff into a shell script, so it'll minimize my typing ... haven't tested it yet though

Upgrading the installation on SuSE through the rpm will recreate those links, so if you go that route you will have to fix the links up again.

Another option would be to get the .tar.gz file, untar it, and then just manually place the updated executables into the proper directories. The only file that changed between 2.3.1 and 2.3.2 besides the executables is the vsftp.1 man page.

Either way there's a bit of manual fixing up you'll need to do.

Thanks,
Daniel
