Script required to log in to multiple Cisco routers and add a command
Hi,
I am currently using SecureCRT v8.3.1 on windows. I have about 80 Cisco routers and switches on our network. I need a script that will log in to each router using the same username and password, add a command, write it to memory, copy the config back to the tftp server, exit the router and move on to the next router. If a router fails or fails connectivity, we need to be informed via some sort of a log file. Note the list of routers can be provided on a separate notepad file and will consist of ether the hostnames or IP addresses. Note I know absolutely nothing about scripting, so the simpler the better. Can anyone please advise or help ? Many Thanks |

Hi vijilants,
I have responded to the email you sent to support@vandyke.com. To any others, I advised vijilants that we do not write custom scripts. I directed him to the Cisco Config and Run Commands On Multiple Hosts script examples here.
