Does Vandyke have tools to protect data at rest?
Hello,
Does Vshell or other tools from Vandyke have the ability to secure stored data (e.g. files in a shared folder)? Understand that SFTP Virtual Directories from Vshell can allow some level of access control to be defined. But I can't seem to find information on whether data are encrypted at rest (before or after they are transferred over the network). Does Vshell have the functionality to encrypt stored data? thanks in advance! Zekes |

VShell does not currently support encrypting the files at rest, nor do we offer such an encryption tool. However, using a VShell trigger it would be possible to run a script or a command line program which encrypts a file that was uploaded via SFTP.
Do you think running a VShell trigger to encrypt uploaded files would help you?
