Meed help setting up private key authentication

We have a private key file (.ppk) to access remote servers. We are able to use Putty Pageant but when I try adding file under SSH2 > Authentication > Properties > Use identity or certificate file - it fails with " the Private key file could not be found" unknown file format

Hello alexserd,

Putty keys can be used in VanDyke Software products when converted properly. There are a couple prior forum posts that cover this topic, here is one:

The ability to use a PuTTY PPK file for public-key authentication has been added to a pre-beta version of SecureCRT, SecureFX, and the VanDyke ClientPack. If you'd like to try it, please send email to Maureen.Jett@vandyke.com.
