Can any one tell me what is FTP and the functions of FTP

Hi Jackson35,

Thanks for the question. I am not sure what VanDyke Software product you are using. We don't offer an interactive FTP client, but we do offer ClientPack which does include vsftp which is an interactive SFTP client. FTP is a legacy file transfer protocol that is not secure. SFTP is a newer secure protocol used to transfer files over an SSH2 transport.

When you use vsftp, you can type help and press enter to find out what commands are available.

Ftp

FTP means file transfer protocol. transfers the file from one place to another. this can upload and download using remote control.
