How to print ALL the received characters?

Is there a way to print ALL the received characters and their codes please? I want to print the character codes so that I can be sure that the gaps between letters and words are definitely spaces and not other characters/codes that just don't print a character.
Any help please?
Thanks
Andy.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the post. I would suggest using raw logging to see what the remote is sending.

You can enable Raw Log Session in the File menu.

Does this help you capture the data you are seeking?

Hi Todd,
Checking the Log File "Raw Log" option made no difference to the log file?
Best regards,
Andy.

Hi Andy,

To see non-printing characters in a raw log, you would need to have a text editor that can display non-printing characters.

An alternative option would be to use the example script that I have attached. It has the ability to display hex values for the characters that are received.

Does this information help you move forward in your debugging effort?

Hi fixit9660,

Thanks for the update. I am glad to hear that the example script works for you.

We will post to this forum thread if we add a way to view HEX in the terminal window rather than use the script.

the ability to view session data as hex values has been implemented in a pre-beta version of SecureCRT. Please send email to me at Maureen.Jett@vandyke.com if you'd like to try it.
