This has been a long-term problem, but I didn't know how it was supposed to look until I thought to try it against an actual version of xterm. The attached perl script displays a gamut of colors in different modes for an xterm compat terminal.
I think linux is supposed to support those colors as well (not quite sure). However, with SecureTty in xterm emulation and the 'TERM' var set to xterm, I don't get anything close to xterm's rendering for the Color cube. Am I missing something? Thanks, Linda (This is for V7.2.6(x64 bld 606) running under Win7SP1x64.) |

Hi Linda,
SecureCRT does not presently support 24-bit color. I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database to add support for 24-bit color. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here. If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #13226" in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.

Support for 24-bit color (true color) has been added to a pre-release version of SecureCRT. Please email me at Maureen.Jett@vandyke.com if you would like to try it.
