VShell simultaneous connections

Hi,

We are running VShell 2.3.1 (build 151) with a max of 10 connections. We are finding that some of the customers connecting to our SFTP server have started using some sort of download manager to open multiple connections to upload/download their files. This results in all of our server connection being used and prevents any of our other customers from making a connection.

Is there any way to limit one connection per unique IP address in VShell?

TIA.

Hi zygote,

Thanks for the question. The ability to limit connections per user did not exist in VShell 2.3.x.

The capability does exist in VShell 3.6.4. You can download an evaluation version from the following location:
http://www.vandyke.com/download/vshell/download.html
The option to limit connections per user (Do not allow more than <1> connections per user) is located in the Common category of the VShell Control Panel.

Does this help to answer your question?
