VShell logout trigger

Hi,

I'm using VShell to host a SFTP server to our customers and I need to set up a trigger that moves files from the user's root folder to another location. As there will be many small files being uploaded at a time I'd rather just bulk move them after the user logs off in order to avoid a deluge of upload > move > upload > move operations that would happen with the File Uploaded trigger (assumption!). I figured the Logout trigger would work however looking at the log file it doesn't even appear to be attempted. I'm guessing that this is because the SFTP client (FileZilla and WinSCP tried) isn't sending a logout command when I disconnect, so is there any way to get VShell to trigger on a disconnect action? i.e. in response to what appears in the log as "00021: Connection closed"

Thanks for any help that can be offered.

Hello zygote,

Do you see a line in VShell's log file indicating the trigger fired?

There are too many unknowns and the public forum is probably not appropriate to discuss this issue.

Please send an email to support@vandyke.com and include the following:
  • VShell version

  • VShell serial number (both can be found in About category)

  • Attach VShell debug log of upload with failed trigger action
If debug is not already enabled, it can be enabled in the Common / Logging category of VShell's control panel.
