how can I pass Alt-keys to the shell??
I'm using SCRT (6.0) to log into a Linux shell. I frequently need to run a configuration utility called Yast, which is typically manipulated by Alt-key entries, except that SCRT is intercepting those codes (since it's a Windows program, and they typically do that!!). However, I'd really like to be able to pass those keys through to the terminal; I can use the mouse to access menu items in SCRT. Is there any way to do that??

See if this works:
Session Options->Terminal->Emulation->Emacs. Set use Alt as meta key. Select "Use 8th bit for meta key..." MrC |

Oh My!! Yes, it does... Thank you VERY much!
(I would *never* have thought of looking at the Emacs menu, since I don't use Emacs...) BTW, I had to use "send escape for meta key", rather than "use 8th bit...", but it works perfectly!! Very cool... //******************************* Wow, you can do *anything* with CRT/SCRT !! |
