Highlight keywords case insensitive

Iím wondering if itís possible to do case insensitive regex match for keywork highlights?

/(ethernet)/i

Would match:

ethernet
Ethernet
ETHERNET
eThErNeT

Instead I have to do something like this:

(ethernet|Ethernet|ETHERNET|eThErNeT)

or

([eE][tT][hH][eE][rR][nN][eE][tT])

Which makes it quite annoying when dealing with ethernet/fast/gig/ten/hundred etc. Very long and bad regex to simulate insensitive matching.

Any ideas?

Hi w00t,

SecureCRT does not currently support the regex case insensitivity modifier, (?i). I have submitted a feature request on your behalf to implement this functionality in SecureCRT. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this functionality, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #13425" in the subject line.

That being said, keyword highlighting in SecureCRT is case insensitive by default. If you add the word "ethernet" to your keyword highlighting list with the "Match case" option disabled, the word ethernet will be highlighted regardless of case.

For Example:

Does regular keyword highlighting work for you?
