Automatic login

Hi guys,

We use 2FA to access our network kit. The password is made of two parts. The first part is a pin that never changes and the second is a randomly generated password and is appended. e.g. 1234randonpassword.

I know in SecureCRT I can do auto login with a username and password. However, is there a way to ask SecureCRT to not press enter on the password and leave it for me to add the random password to the pin that SecureCRT has already added.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi jasmith,

Unfortunately, there's not such functionality available presently.

I have added this thread to the following feature requests in our product enhancement database:
  • Option to suppress implied/trailing CR in Automate logon Send data
  • Substitution database for logon actions (expect/send).
Should a future release of SecureCRT include either feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread 13084" in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.
