Font antialiasing problem

In Mac's Terminal and some other IDEs like Coda, terminal fonts are antialiased so they looks good. But in SecureCRT for MAC, the fonts are not antialiased. The default Monaco 13 font looks ugly.

Could you add a feature to enable font-antialiasing for size >12?

Thanks.

Hi bigbang,

I have a build I can make available to you where "font smoothing" is enabled by default. If you would like me to provide that information, please send an e-mail to support@vandyke.com and include "Attn Brenda - Forum Thread #6353" in the subject line.

Otherwise, you can enable "Enable font smoothing" in the 'Terminal / Appearance' category of SecureCRT's Global Options.

Once you enable the option, does Monaco 13 font look better?

When I enable "Font smoothing" without restarting the session, the font is rendered without antialiasing. That's why I think the option not work.

It looks pretty now. Thank you.

Hi bigbang,

In my tests, enabling/disabling the font smoothing option does take effect on the fly.

What version of SecureCRT for Mac OSX are you using?

Version 6.6.1 (build 289) - Official Release - November 4, 2010

I was using build 278 when I reported the problem. Now it does take effect on-the-fly.

Thank you.
