.ssh/config not honored

Hello,

I used to use a fairly long and complex .ssh/config file on my Mac.
Unfortunately I cannot find a way to import it to SecureCRT or just make it honor the configuration.

Am I missing something here or is it really not possible?

Hi metallicat,

SecureCRT does not currently support the integration of .ssh/config natively.

I have recorded your interest in importing this data in our database of SecureCRT feature requests so that the product director can evaluate it for possible inclusion in a future release.

Should a version of SecureCRT become available with this feature, we will be sure to let you know.

Using SecureCRT's scripting functionality we may be able to script a solution for importing this data to SecureCRT. This would largely depend on the complexity of your config file. Importing "simple" things like Hostname, Username, Port should be possible. More complex configurations with Proxy's and using the Match functionality may not be. Would it be possible for you to provide a redacted copy of your config file for review? To help ensure we don't accidentally expose sensitive data please email the config file to Support@VanDyke.com with "Attn: Eric forum post 12804" in the subject line.

Hi Eric,

I sent you an example of my ssh config.
I can hardly see how it can be replicated easily and robustly in a script, especially since I constantly update the ssh config file.

I'd be really happy to see the native support feature implemented in future versions though.
