SecureCRT lost license

I recently had to change my user account on my Mac, and now SecureCRT will not launch. It acts like it has never been registered. I have attempted to register, but it keeps trying to point to the config folder located in the old user account. I tried changing every mention of the old user account name to the new user account name in the preferences and other files for SecureCRT, but it was all to no success. Finally, I got rid of everything I could find related to SecureCRT and attempted to reinstall, yet the issue persisted.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi akcampbell,

What is the exact error you are getting?

It's likely that the issue occurred because SecureCRT stores info about the config path in a "registry-like" location on Mac.

Check what the output is from this command:

defaults read com.vandyke.SecureCRT | grep SecureCRT

If the config path listed references the old profile, starting with a clean configuration folder path should fix the issue. Here's how:
defaults delete com.vandyke.SecureCRT "Config Path"

If you run that command at a local prompt (via terminal) then start SecureCRT, what happens?
