SecureCRT and Cyberark

Cyberark is getting introduced in my work environment. They are configuring it such that it wants to use Putty and it forces a particular version on you. Some good news, you can use SecureCRT if you copy/paste the credentials to notepad and login via SSH with that user/password combo. Extra steps to get work done, I know.

Would SecureCRT ever have a feature where multiple sessions could use a specific saved credential via some sort of "internal credential manager"? Cyberark rotates the password of the account you checkout, it would be nice if SecureCRT had a means to use a specific saved login credential.

Thank you!

Hi mcndev21,

I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database for a substitution database for credentials. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include Feature Request - Forum Thread #14189 in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.

PSM over SSH

The most simple is to install the PSMP appliance from CyberArk.
I'm using my regular account (AD account) to retrieve the SSH accounts for example.

Good article at this location : https://blog.51sec.org/2020/07/confi...rate-with.html

I'm currently using this format for connect in SecureCRT:

hostname: psmp.domain.com
username : adaccountt@domain.com%root%target

Please pay attention to the delimiter in this case.
