SecureCRT auto logoff Application (not sessions)

Application SecureCRT auto-logoff (not sessions)
Ok, ok, this is NOT regarding our sessions, no, by all means; it is in regards to the application itself >> seeking a log-on-log off functionality for the app itself.
Well, SecureCRT has already a securely encrypted master password framework, so why is the application in itself not able to log its self after x ex. 15 minutes of inactivity?

Cheers,

Maybe because no one has ever requested it until now. Probably 80-90% of SecureCRT features are customer request driven.

So that I capture it correctly, are you saying you want the SecureCRT application to be closed (regardless of the state of any connected sessions) after 15 minutes of inactivity in any session?

If not correct, please elaborate on the exact behavior you are requesting.

Where does the "log-on" part come into play?

Should SecureCRT launch based on some schedule?

Woww impressed by such fast and on point responds, thanks, Brenda!
Funny, as well, excellent, ooohh back to the "feature request;"a passport protected screensaver for the app
And maybe a log in-out option for the app, that will force (if enabled by the end-user) to re-authenticate with the app (master password).

Cheers

Hi GermanCRT,

Sounds like both of those can be covered by this one (existing) feature request.

I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database for a method to further protect configuration or application (passphrase, encrypt, lock). Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #13318" in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.

Have a great weekend!
