Can "Clone Session" be hidden?

Are there any available Registry or *.ini file entries which can be configured to "hide" the "Clone Session" option?

On our RHEL 5.6 system we've used "maxlogins" in "/etc/security/limits.conf" to restrict nearly all users to only two simultaneous sessions. This restriction is enforced properly when users connect using a normal "Connect" or "Connect in Tab".

However, some users have figured out they can use "Clone Session" to bypass the limit of two simultaneous sessions. This wouldn't normally be that bad of a practice, however the "Cloned" sessions seems to do something strange with the accounting process and so when the user logs out of all their sessions (or even shuts down / restarts their PC), running a "last" command on their login will show them as still having several sessions logged in to the host. This prevents them from logging back in because the system somehow thinks they already have at least two active sessions.

Eventually, after some time has expired, "last" will show their orphaned sessions as "gone - no logout". After which they're usually able to log back in normally.

Instead of trying to train users to not use "Clone Session" with all the trouble it causes, I'd like to merely remove it as a usable option.

What about fixing the accounting process?
