Windows local shell questions

I'd like to use this to run a Cygwin bash shell, and had some questions:
  • Is there a way to pass options to the command? e.g. bash.exe --login -i?
  • Is there a way to set environment variables before running the command, e.g. PATH and TERM

These capabilities don't yet exist in SecureCRT's local shell support.

I've added feature requests on your behalf for these capabilities. I don't yet have any ETA as to when, if ever, such capabilities might be added. However, we will post here if anything becomes available. If you'd like email notification, please send email to support@vandyke.com with a subject of: "ATTN: Forum thread #13979, post #2".
  • Please send the email from your VanDyke Software download account email address (or in the body of the message, include a reference to the email account you use for downloading installers from our web site).
  • Please indicate which feature you are interested in:
    • Pass arguments to local shell process
    • Define environment variables for local shell process
