Old site configs

When starting securecrt I get a message.
The following session(s) are not valid and will not be started:
<name of the sessions>
How do I remove them? I deleted them from the session manager but I get the window when starting securecrt.

Thanks in advance

Hi soulc,

There are two possibilities that can lead to the "The following session(s) are not valid and will not be started:" message you're receiving.

Possibility 1:
You have the session(s) listed in your "Use auto session" option. The "Use auto session" option tells SecureCRT to automatically attempt to connect to the specified sessions whenever SecureCRT starts up. If you have a session listed in this field but the session no longer exists, you will receive the error message you shared whenever you start SecureCRT.

To remove the session(s) from your "Use auto session" list, navigate to Options > Global Options > General > Default Session, and once you have selected <name of the session(s)>, select [Delete] for all of the sessions you wish to remove from this listing. Once you've removed non-existing sessions from this list, or selected "Do not connect automatically on startup", you should not see this error message any longer.
Possibility 2:
You may be starting SecureCRT from a shortcut that uses /S "<name of the session>", where <name of the session> no longer exists.

To solve this possible cause, edit the shortcut to no longer reference a non-existing session.
