SecureCRT 9.0 Blank Passphrase

In the release notes for 9.0 it states "Windows: Added an administrative option that disallows a blank configuration passphrase."

I was wondering how do we enable this during install and is there a way to not allow the use of SecureCRT/SecureFX without setting a passphrase?

Hi Naduta,

It is an administrative template that you request. The new option is called "Require Configuration Passphrase".

The SecureCRT Help topic System Administration Issues / Administrative Template has information about requesting administrative templates.

This will prevent use of the applications until a passphrase is configured.
