SecureCRT Context Menu Stopped Working

This morning the context menu for all active windows in SecureCRT stopped working.

Everything else seems fine but right click in a window simply does nothing, which is pretty annoying.

I could restart everything, which will likely fix it but wanted to see if I could provide any information which would help you find and fix the bug before I took that step.

Version 8.3.1 (x64 build 1537) - Official Release - December 7, 2017 running on Windows 10

Hi Killing,

Is the right-click functionality working in other applications?

It's likely an issue with the mouse driver. It could just be a hiccup and it is likely a restart of the computer will resolve the issue.

Hi Killing,

I think the best way to provide relevant data for the developers would be to grab before and after process dumps.

Do NOT post those here in the public forums, PLEASE!

You likely know how to get those on Windows OS (Task Manager -> Find SecureCRT.exe process -> right-click and choose Create Dump File). Please get one now, when context menu is not accessible. Then restart the machine and, assuming the context menu is accessible again when you next launch SecureCRT, get one then as well.

Please then contact support@vandyke.com and reference "Attn Brenda - Forum Thread #13001" and we will make arrangements for you to upload those via a secure mechanism (your download account). If not writing us from the email address associated with your download account, please provide that email address in the body of the email.
