expand all
is there a way to expand all folders with a single keystroke ?
I interact with over 400 servers and have created a large folder structure to organize the servers. When I make password changes to groups of servers I have to open up multiple branches in order to select server. |

Hi C0ppert0p,
Thanks for the suggestion. I have created a feature request in our SecureCRT development database to add the ability to expand all folders in the Connect dialog. Should a future release of SecureCRT have this capability, we will post to this forum thread. If you would like to be notified directly, please complete and submit the form at the following location: Submit Feature Request |

Hi C0ppert0p,
A colleague of mine pointed out that this is already possible on Windows and Linux. You can use "*" on the number pad to expand all folders, and you can use "-" to collapse the selected folder. On Mac OS X, you can use "+" to expand all folders and "-" to collapse the selected folder. Does this meet your needs? Last edited by rtb; 07-12-2011 at 04:50 PM. |

That's perfect Todd.
and I was going to say that I can always run this script to expand all the folder: find . -name "__*" -exec sed -i s/Expanded\"=00000000/Expanded\"=00000001/ {} \; |

The items "Expand All Folders" and "Collapse All Folders" have been added to the right-click menu for the Session Manager and Connect dialog in a pre-beta version of SecureCRT. If you'd like to try it, please send email to me at Maureen.Jett@vandyke.com.
