How do I create a pass phrase? Where do I go to create it and will it be applied to the current database?

New features:

• Previous versions of SecureCRT supported saving passwords and other sensitive data. In order to improve the security of this feature, SecureCRT now allows a passphrase to be created the first time version 7.3.3 runs. This passphrase will be used to encrypt and decrypt sensitive data stored in the session database, such as passwords and send/expect logon scripts.

You can create a passphrase from the Change Configuration Passphrase... option in the Tools menu in SecureCRT 7.3.3 and later. Once selected, leave "old passphrase" blank and then enter the new one twice and you should be ready to go. You will be prompted to enter the passphrase the next time SecureCRT is started. And yes, it's applicable to the configuration folder defined in the General / Configuration Paths category of Global Options. (If you startup SecureCRT with /F to point to any alternate config folders, you would have to repeat the steps to set a passphrase on the alternate configs.)
