Logon script location

I am running SecureCRT version 7.0.0. I share many of my SecureCRT session files with colleagues, and some of these session files use logon scripts. Since the script locations may vary from system to system, I would like to know if there is a way to either (1) specify a login script path that is relative to the SecureCRT config path, or (2) use variable substitution in the logon script path, where the variable is a global parameter.

An earlier post led me to believe that the default script path was in the Scripts folder inside the SecureCRT config folder. I tried creating Scripts in the config folder, placing my script there, and using a simple file name for the script, but that did not work.

I also found this thread from over a year ago which describes a solution, but I cannot find anything in the help files on it. Has this feature been released yet? If so, how do I use it?

Thanks,
Lee

Hi Lee,

Thanks for the question.

You can use some variable substitution. For example, you could use the following for the logon script path:
Code:
%appdata%\VanDyke\Config\logon.vbs
Does this information help you accomplish your goal?

Todd,

Yes, that will be perfect. Thanks for the quick reply!

I see where that is documented for the log file name in your scripting guide. I should have tried it on the login script path before posting. Is it documented anywhere that it also applies to the login script path?

Hi Lee,

Thanks for the confirmation. I am glad I could help.

This is not documented. We will post to this forum thread if we do add documentation for this data.
