Script to add connection lists or groups??

Is there a script to create a list of 100s of connections or groupings instead of having to create a new connection one at a time?

Thanks.

Hello jdsharp,

First, is the product SecureCRT or SecureFX?

Do you want to create sessions from an existing text file that contains hostname and/or ip addresses?

Or do you want to import another application's connection database to our product (and create sessions)?

Looking for same answer

Hello, I am using Secure CRT and I manage cell towers. I have 350 towers and I need different types of log ins for each site. I use SSH 2, Telnet, Serial. I know how to set up each session and folder but I would like to make this faster to set up.
So I have a folder set up now with my site number then under that I have 12 pieces of equipment that I need to log into remotely. I have no problem creating a CSV or anything that I need to import to create this as long as I can update the file and import the updated stuff.

so I guess I want to create a sessions file from a txt file or csv. Just need to know the format and steps.

Thank you.

[Update]: The script code that was attached has been removed from this post. Please find the current version of the import arbitrary data script example in our Script Examples "sticky".

Hello saseitz,

I have attached an example script that will allow you to import arbitrary data to SecureCRT sessions. This example script is for use with SecureCRT 5.0 and later.

There are details contained in the comments of the script that explain the data that can be imported.
