Partial Word Highlighting

I just upgraded to version 8.1 and love the keyword highlighting and coloring feature especially with Regex expressions.

Is there a way to do a partial word highlight? For example, to highlight "Exception" when it is embedded in something like HttpClientErrorException ClientExceptionError, ExceptionError or HttpStatusCodeException:.

I was able to highlight the whole section with ".+Exception.*" and then add a non-regex case insensitive keyword of "Exception" to capture cases of the standalone word, but it's not quite what I was looking for.

I would be ok with a non-greedy match like this ".*?Exception.*?", but that seems miss some occurrences that were highlighted with the above Regex.

Here are a few highly edited lines to show some of the occurrence types I would like to capture if possible.

Code:
2017-03-22 11:28:34.658 m.m.a.ExceptionHandlerExceptionResolver : Invoking @ExceptionHandler method: public .errors.ExceptionTranslator.processRuntimeException(java.lang.Exception) throws java.lang.Exception
2017-03-22 11:28:34.659 e.w.r.errors.ExceptionTranslator : Exception nested exception org.apache.openjpa.persistence.PersistenceException:
2017-03-22 11:28:34.658 m.m.a.ExceptionHandlerExceptionResolver : Resolving exception from handler org.springframework.orm.jpa.JpaSystemException: ; nested exception is org.apache.openjpa.persistence.PersistenceException:
Can you recommend something that might work better?

Thanks

Hi WesR,

It looks like you've done some pretty extensive testing. I'm currently reviewing options that may get you the behavior you desire. If I find a solution for you I'll be sure to let you know.

WesR,

We have a pre-beta version of SecureCRT that will do regular expression keyword highlighting as shown in the attached picture. If you'd like to try it, please email me at Maureen.Jett@vandyke.com.
