Task Scheduler SecureCRT

Hello,
I am trying to run a script via SecureCRT through a batch file via a scheduled task.

Does the user account specified in the scheduled task have to be physically logged in to the box? Or can SecureCRT run without a user UI active?

I tried with the System account as well as an admin account that was not logged in and the task seems to get stuck 'Running' and never completes. I suspect that it needs a physical user account because I've ran into this before while trying to automate excel.

Before you ask, the batch file does work as intended when I click on it manually.
The batch file is calling secureCRT like this:

"C:\Program Files\VanDyke Software\SecureCRT\SecureCRT.exe" /SCRIPT "D:\SCRIPTS\Script.vbs" /ARG 10.10.10.1 /ARG "D:\Script.txt"

Hello powerkor,

What operating system is SecureCRT installed on?

It depends.

In Windows 7 Task Scheduler, for example, you have several security options:
Run only when user is logged on
Run whether user is logged on or not
Run with highest privileges
Which did you configure?

It could be a situation where the SecureCRT config cannot be found because of the issue of user-context.

The /F <path_to_config_folder> option was implemented to help with such a situation

You can also add /Log <path_to_log_file> to your command-line and the log file might reveal the issue.
