Question Secure CRT default when telnet link clicked

Hi is it possible to get secure CRT to open by default when i click a link in Chrome which creates a telnet connection?

This currently keeps on opening the terminal app.

I have secure CRT version 8.0.1 and OSX 10.11.4

When SecureCRT is first installed and launched, it checks to see if it's not already the default telnet handler. If SecureCRT isn't the default telnet handler, it will ask if you want SecureCRT to be so. There's also an option to not ask again. If you've chosen that in the past, the default handler message won't appear again.

If you want to be prompted to make SecureCRT the default telnet app again, it's possible:
  • Take note of SecureCRT's config location in Global Options / General / Configuration Paths category

  • Close SecureCRT

  • Edit the Global.ini file in the config folder so that the line with...
D:"Check Shell Telnet Command"=00000000
... is modified to...
D:"Check Shell Telnet Command"=00000001
When you next launch SecureCRT you should be prompted to make SecureCRT the default telnet application.

Does this work for you?
