Need to create only 1 log file

Hi All,

I am using Secure CRT version : 7.2.1(64 bit)
I want to create a log file where every time I connect it append the same log file.

For this I click on option :
1) Prompt for file name
2) Start log upon connect
3) append to file

But every time when I logout the session and create a new session its not appending the log in last file. every time a new log file is creating.

Can anybody suggest me , which option I need to select to save log file in same file by appending it.

What file name are you using when you are prompted for a filename?

Hi,

while prompting the file name ,I am selecting the path in my desktop & selecting the same file every time with extention ".log".

For example : 1st time login to session I select the file name for log file creation is MW24-aug and after doing work I logout of the session.

After again when I login and give the same path to apend the log file. it creates another file like : MW24-aug_1 and soo on...

it is not apending the log in previous file.

Hi Rajender,

Thanks for the information.

What operating system and version are you using?

Is it possible that another program that has the file open?

Is the log file stored locally or on a network resource?

Hi Todd,

I am using Secure CRT version : 7.2.1(64 bit) via Citrix platform.
and path for saving log file is locally of my Desktop.

No chance for for another program that has the file open.

Please let me know if any other details required.

  • More information about how SecureCRT is deployed in the Citrix environment.
  • The serial number for your copy of SecureCRT.
  • The exact steps you take to reproduce the issue.
