Vshelld on Aix 5.3

I'm a new user of vshell on Aix. The product work well, but I can't find the vshelld logs (?!?)

There is nothing in the configuration file about the logs... (/usr/local/etc/vshelld_config)

I did a search on all my machine, but I can find any logs...

[root@IBMDEV]/>find . -name vshell*

I can not start the vshelld in debug mode in production...
Maybe I do something wrong?

It would be nice if someone can help me since I will have to migrate to prod soon.

Hi Dom@exp,

VShell will log to the default syslog facility on the AIX system unless VShell's configuration has been changed to log to a unique location.

The default log location on AIX machines would be:

VShell's log location can also be changed by modifying the logging facility that is specified in the 'vshelld_config' file. The vshelld daemon will need to be restarted for the change to take affect.

Does this help?
