Connect bar search enhancement

The connect bar currently seems to only connect to the typed host, instead it would be better if it had the option to search in the preconfigured sessions and use those instead as often the hostname wont work but using the existing session would.

Hi killing,

I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database to add the ability to search for a session in the Connect Bar based on the session name (connect bar auto complete). Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct e-mail notification, contact support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #10555" in the subject line.

As a note, you can use session syntax in the Connect Bar, but the current functionality requires you to know the session name.

For example:
/S <session name>

In a pre-beta version of SecureCRT for Windows, you can type in the Connect bar and any sessions that match what has been typed will be displayed, which provides another way to find and connect sessions quickly (similar to autocomplete in web browsers).

We hope to add this support to the Mac and Linux version soon. If you'd like to try the Windows pre-beta, please email me at Maureen.Jett@vandyke.com.
