Change Password - Multiple sessions

I know this was put in the newest release. I'm running 6.2.1 (build 215) of SecureCRT. I want to change my password for all my sessions.

When I connect to a server via ssh, it asks me for my password and I clicked "save password" when the window popped up. Now that my password changed, how do I apply that new password to all sessions?

Thumbs up

Nevermind... I just figured it out... For those who want to know how:
  1. Bring up all your sessions
  2. highlight all the ones you want changed
  3. right click -> properties
  4. Go under Connection -> SSH2
  5. Under Authentication highlight "Password"
  6. Click Properties
  7. Change your password
  8. Click "OK"

Boom! changed. LOVE IT!

Hi darkoth,

Thank you for posting the solution here to benefit other SecureCRT users who might need this functionality.

Angry Multiple Sessions not saving Username and Passwords

I happen to be running ver 8.5 and when I try and change username and password for multiple sessions either by changing the parent folder or by right clicking all sessions, its not saving and I am having to change them one by one. Why would they not save them as a group selection? Thanks

Hi Rstites,

Are all sessions the same protocol?

Where are the credentials saved?

Are the credentials saved in the Connection / SSH2 category?

Or are you using Connection / Logon Actions?

If the latter, see this post where Jake explains that you must have the same number of lines (and other prerequisites) to successfully make changes to the Expect/Send fields.
