This should go on the feature list!

(Ok, maybe the very very very very bottom of the list...)

Hi Rich,

*LOVE* the idea!

Why stop there? Why not hook up to Neuralink and send a signal that would simulate the effect of that bell's ringing sound waves via nerve signals directly to the brain?

We'll get working on this right away, as soon as the expedition to Mars has been successful and the Neuralink implants have finished mass production and the government enforces implants in all individuals who would ever operate a terminal emulator.

After all, wired USB devices are sooooo yesterday's technology. Kind of reminds me of terminals themselves...

However, if not aware, to provide a little variety you can now define a custom bell sound file to use in SecureCRT:

Changes in SecureCRT 8.7 (Beta 1) -- November 20, 2019
------------------------------------------------------
New features:
  • The audio bell can be configured to play a sound file.
That's now possible in SecureCRT 8.7 (configured in the Global Options > Terminal > Advanced category; not the Terminal > Appearance > Advanced category of Session Options).
