Some one help me about the session log.

Hi, everyone!

I'm using SecureCRT (ver 8.1.2) On my Mac(10.12) and tried to log my session automatically but field!

the Error message is like "Unable to open log file: ./Documents/SecureCrtLogs/xxx.log Permission denied"

the file xxx.log is a new file created by SecureCRT so I tried to increase the permission of "./Documents/SecureCrtLogs" and then the permission is like

"drwxrwxrwx 6 plinskin staff 204 9 9 06:28 SecureCrtLogs"

then I try to log my session again and it failed, the error message is as same as before and I'm here for a help.

THANKS ANYWAY!

Hi Plinskin,

I am sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing.

Permission denied errors are usually pretty cut and dried.
  • Are you able to create a file in this directory using any other method?
  • What is the name of the log file?
  • Do you already have an open session in SecureCRT logging to that file?
