SecureCRT 8.7 on Citrix

We have been working on trying to disable windows hotkeys so that users can use their F keys and the SHIFT-F Keys. But nothing seems to really work
We are running CRT on Windows server 2019, in Azure. The clients are Windows 10 running Citrix Workspace App 2009.

We have tried using GPOs, both Microsoft and Citrix. As this farm is in the cloud, there really isn't a default.ini to modify.

Thoughts?

Hi BillP,

It's not clear if you are indicating a problem with SecureCRT or a problem with the operating system, the Citrix app, or the end user's keyboard so I'm hoping you can clarify with additional details...

Let's take the F1 key for starters (feel free to substitute F1 for another more meaningful F Key, if you prefer -- just be explicit in letting me know which one you're focusing on for the following steps).

1. When you press the F1 key while within SecureCRT connected to the remote device and in the context where it should perform the expected function, what behavior is exhibited vs expected?
   
   
2. Open SecureCRT's Session Options, navigate to the Terminal / Emulation / Mapped Keys category, and press the [Map a Key...] button.
   
   
3. When the Map Key window appears, press the F1 key on your keyboard.
   
   Does the Map Selected Key window appear?
   
   
   • If not, it means that SecureCRT is not receiving any keyboard events from the operating system specific to the key that was pressed, and this is an issue that is outside the scope of SecureCRT's ability to resolve for you. You will need to direct your support request to Microsoft, Citrix, et. al. since the issue is removed from SecureCRT (SecureCRT cannot possibly force the operating system to send it keyboard events -- it can only respond to events received).
     
     
   • If the Map Selected Key window does indeed appear, what is the value shown under the Keyboard combination label?
