Is there a way to configure command aliases?

Is there a way to configure aliases? I want something like this:

alias "/ppp active remove [find caller-id =%s]" dis

Then sending "dis user" would transform into /ppp active remove [find caller-id ="user"]

Is it possible to configure aliases in SecureCRT?

Hi vysh,

That functionality is not available presently.

I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database for the ability to create an alias/command-substitutions table (with parameters). Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #12480" in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.

However, depending on how many aliases you need to configure, you could create a simple script that uses arguments, then map a button on the button bar to run the script and pass in the argument that way.

Are you using SecureCRT for Windows? Or Mac? Or Linux?
