HOME and END keys

when I connect to Gentoo Linux via SSH there is a problem that it is not possible to issue Home and End keys in Windows style, in other words End moves you in VI to the end of line and Home to the start of line. Also DEL has old unix style. Putty works incredible but it has no tabs like secureCRT.

Please help.

Which emulation are you using in SecureCRT ? (Session Options / Terminal / Emulation category, Terminal option)

I think that putty uses the xterm emulation by default, which would explain why you are seeing differences in behavior between the two applications.

Do you get better behavior if you set your Terminal emulation to XTerm in SecureCRT, disconnect, and then reconnect to the remote machine?
