hidden sessions...

Hello,

fyi:
lets suppose to have a ssh session saved as "router (10.0.0.254)" and you decide to rename it as ".254 router".
The session is still displayed (and working) 'till you restart SecureCRT then the session is not listed anymore.

You might be thinking to accidentally deleted it and you recreate with same new name to discover the session name does exists already.

To make it visible again you have to navigate in the SecureCRT's Sessions folder and rename it back to anything that does not start with the initial '.'

I believe either it should not accept the initial '.' or listing hidden files as well in the Session Manager list.

Thx!

Hi thesez,

You can display these sessions by making a change to the Global.ini file in SecureCRT's config folder.

Here are the steps:
  • Take note of config folder location in the General / Configuration Paths category of SecureCRT's Global Options

  • Close all instances of SecureCRT and SecureFX

  • Go to config folder location and locate file named Global.ini

  • Make the following change:
    D:"Hide Dot Session Files"=00000001
    to
    D:"Hide Dot Session Files"=00000000
  • Save changes
