Programaticaly Generating Session Files

I'm on Linux and see the Session files are just text files in some Key=Value format.

I have an IPAM with IP and hostname, I was wondering if there are any issues with me simply writing a script to generate the Session files in ~/.vandyke/SecureCRT/Config/Sessions?

I could take anyone of the existing ones as an example. I'm all SSH key based login everywhere. So I'll I'd really need to change is the display name and hostname in each file and spit it out.

Is there anything I'm missing? Or would this work?

This would make it easier for co-workers potentially to quickly get setup also.

I suppose I can isolate the automated stuff into a folder, then on a cron just wipe that folder and regenerate from my IPAM. This would allow my SecureCRT to completely stay in sync with changes also.

I am not very familiar with IPAM. Are you able to export your IP/Hostname list to a CSV/text file by chance?

If so, we have an example script posted that would likely work well for you to generate the desired sessions.
