Multiple users using seperate config folders

There is a team of us and we are trying the new separate configuration folder option. The common settings are up in a network share. We get an error whenever we get prompted to save an SSH key, as if we were overwriting the file at the same time. Does this file get locked open or anything or is there a way to separate the SSH keys part of the config?

Thanks for the post. What error message are you and your team seeing?

What are the various versions of SecureCRT in use among your team members?

The error is:

Could not write to the host key database file <path to file>. Access is denied.

I've checked the NTFS and share permissions and we have access to create and delete and modify the file and it seemed to be working until we added a 3rd person to use it. We are using 7.2.6 except for me, I'm using 7.3 beta 3. We are running Windows 7 64bit version and the network share is hosted using CIFS on an EMC Isilon storage device. I'm having the storage team check for open locks on the file as well in case that's the issue.

Thanks for the information. I have only used the same version in my testing, but even with 3 different machines accessing the shared configuration and using the new personal configuration folder option, I don't see the issue.

I don't have an Isilon system against which to test, so that is another difference in my tests.

Nevertheless, this seems like a permissions issue which would be unrelated to SecureCRT.

Did you only start seeing the issue when you added a different version, or were you using 7.2 and 7.3 successfully prior to adding a third team member?
