Losing focus from SecureCRT window when touching Touchpad

I'm running 8.7.3 (build 2279) on MacOS 10.15.6. I've begun having problems constantly losing focus in the SecureCRT window if my finger even grazes my MacBook's Touchpad. I don't have Tap To Click...

Can I disable Cmd-scroll functionality?

I often accidentally resize, or maybe the best term is "zoom", my window (changing the font size as well) by accidentally touching the scroll wheel while using the Cmd key on my Mac. I don't use this...

It is USB-to-serial and I have the latest Prolific drivers for 10.11 Mac. I installed them today.

slow pasting in El Capitan

I was running SecureCRT 7.3.6 on OS X Yosemite without issue, then installed El Capitan (fresh install; not an upgrade.) I installed SecureCRT and moved over all configuration info...

I can get it to look at a volume, but not a subdirectory, i.e. /Volumes/SANDISK32 works but not /Volumes/SANDISK32/subdir or /Volumes/SANDISK32/subdir/. Those just point to the /Volumes/SANDISK32...
