Hi tenwx,

I am sorry to hear that SecureCRT crashed.

The fact a report was generated means core files are not enabled or "other" does not have write permissions on the /cores directory.

Please enable Create core file when application crashes in the General category of SecureCRT's Global Options. Please also check permissions on the /cores directory.

Then, if/when SecureCRT crashes again, please contact support@vandyke.com and reference "Forum Thread #12987" and you will be provided instructions on how to upload the crash dump file to us. If not writing from an email address associated with your VanDyke Software download account, please let us know the email address that is associated with it.

At that time, please also let us know of any known circumstances preceding the crash so that info can be included in the bug report.

Please also attach a screenshot to the email you send with details about your Mac's hardware from the About This Mac dialog.

The developers believe they have resolved this issue in a pre-release build.

If you are interested in receiving the information to download the build, please send an email to support@vandyke.com and include "Bug Report - Forum Thread #12987" in the subject line.

If contacting us through an email account other than the one used to create your download account, please advise us of the download account email address.

Hi all,

As a note, I was inaccurate in my earlier post. For this issue, there is a new special build available that we hope (if SecureCRT crashes) will gather more info about this issue so our developers can continue to investigate.
